The Vocal Academy
Delete your account and data
Last updated 30 September 2026
You can ask us to delete your account in The Vocal Academy app and the information it holds about you, at any time and for any reason. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect your lessons.
How to request deletion
Two steps.
- 1Email info@thevocalacademy.co from the address you use to sign in, with Delete my account as the subject.
- 2We reply to confirm it is really you, then delete your account. This is done within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner.
If you are a parent or guardian of a student under 18, you can make the request on their behalf from your own email address.
What gets deleted
Your account and everything in the app that belongs to you, including:
Your profile
Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and your sign-in account.
Lesson history
Your lesson notes, what you worked on, and any homework assigned to you.
Recordings
Lesson audio and voice memos, along with their transcripts.
Practice
Your practice logs and streak history.
Community
Your posts, comments, reactions, photos, and videos.
Notifications
The device tokens used to send you push notifications.
What we keep, and for how long
Lesson audio is deleted automatically after 90 days whether or not you ask us to delete anything, so recordings older than that are already gone.
After a deletion, we keep the studio’s own business records of your enrollment and payments, because we are required to. These are kept in our studio systems rather than in the app, and they are not used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
Deleting your account removes you from the app. If you are still enrolled, speak to your coach about your lessons as well.
Other requests
You can also ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Write to the same address. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honour those.
For the full picture of what the app collects and why, see our Privacy Policy.
